Thank you for the honest feedback, and I’m genuinely sorry 2.3.0 disrupted your setup — that’s on us, not you.

Addressing your points directly:

“No choice of setup / can’t switch off the workflow.” You’re right, and that’s a real miss — there should be a clear off-switch and there isn’t one yet. We’re fixing that in the next update (2.3.1): a setting to turn the new on-page content selector off completely so your work area goes back to exactly how it was before 2.3.0. We’re also changing it so those tabs no longer appear on their own — they’ll only show if you choose to open the picker.

“Bloating features.” One reassurance: the new selector loads only for logged-in administrators — it’s never output for your visitors, so it adds nothing to your public page size or speed. The player your visitors use is unchanged.

“Features nobody wants.” Understood — we’ll keep them optional and out of the way by default. If you tell us what your ideal workflow looks like, we’ll make sure the new toggle covers it.
