Is it possible to import the Hubspot blog authors? Currently it’s adding my user as the author for all imported Hubspot blogs.

PS: Thanks for making this plugin. It’s a time saver!

    Hi @kmelcm ,

Great news! We just released version 1.3.0 which adds exactly this feature.

Go to Blog Importer for HubSpot > Configuration, check the new “Import HubSpot Authors with Blog Posts” option (just below Post Status), and save. The plugin will now match each post to its original HubSpot author, creating a new WordPress author account automatically if no match is found.

Please update and let us know if you have any questions!

    Hi @priyanksukhadiya

I’ve noticed after re-syncing posts that any image within the body of posts are being reimported each time in wordpress. It appends the images with -1, -2 etc. Obviously if we import on a regular basis via cron then it’s going to continually fill up the media with duplicates. The post themselves show fine but with the newest appended image that it imported. Any chance the API can only update what’s actually new within the posts? Or a way to exclude images on updates? Let me know if this doesn’t make sense. Thanks!

    PS: Featured images don’t duplicate.

    Hi @kmelcm

    Thanks for reporting this!

We’ve just released version 1.3.1, which fixes the duplicate image issue during post re-syncs.

Please update and let us know if everything works as expected.

    Hi @priyanksukhadiya

Thanks for your quick response. I did a manual import to re-sync them all to test after updating and had the same issue.

Few questions: Does manual import function the same way as the Sync Interval? In other words manual sync re-imports all posts (whether if it’s already synced or not – which is a nice option). Does the sync interval re-sync all existing and new ones? Or just new ones?

Be nice to just test one post to re-sync but doesn’t appear to be an option for that.

Let me know if you want me to try something different. The site we are using this is under development – hoping to launch in a couple of weeks – not hinging on this mind you but just saying it’s easy to test if needed. 🙂

    Thanks again!

    Hi @kmelcm,

    Thanks for the update!

Could you please share a screen recording or a few screenshots of the issue? You can either attach them here or send them to the plugin support email at priyanksukhadiya2001@gmail.com.

This will help me investigate and reproduce the issue more easily.

    Thanks!

    Hi @priyanksukhadiya,

Sorry for my delay here. I updated some hubspot tags/topics and just did a re-import and it all worked as expected! I suspect when I first updated the plugin I didn’t clear cache or perhaps was in a different browser window and did the import. At any rate it’s all working as expected. One potential future request. It would be nice to “update” just one or a select posts that are already synced. I appreciate your great support (and plugin). If you accept donations let me know. 😉
