Shop Manager Permissions

    I can use the plugin fine as an administrator, but for the shop manager role I get an error that says “Sorry you are not allowed to do that”

    I don’t see anywhere in the settings where I can allow shop managers to use this tool. Is that possible?

    Otherwise to customize permissions I usually use admin role editor and user role editor but I’m not sure what capability I would need to add to the shop manager role.

    Hello @karisletten ,

    This error occurs because the plugin currently uses the manage_options capability for its admin tools. By default, the Shop Manager role does not have this capability.

    You can add manage_options to the Shop Manager role using User Role Editor. However, please note that this capability also grants access to broader WordPress settings, so we do not recommend enabling it unless necessary.

    At the moment, there is no separate plugin-specific capability that you can assign. We are planning to add native support for the Shop Manager role in an upcoming update, so access can be granted without requiring manage_options.
