We’ve used this plugin in the past on many WordPress sites, to override the default galleries by adding a lightbox pop-up. There is a chance these may have generally used the Classic editor, as they were older sites. We’ve generally used the Swipebox script for the effect. We do not want to build galleries outside of a page or post, so disable any of the ‘Builder’ functionality.

But trying on a new site that is on WordPress v7.0. When enabling either GLightbox or Swipebox scripts, on a default WordPress gallery block with links to media items, we’re not seeing the navigation links to switch between the different images in the gallery in the lightbox. When inspecting, the nav buttons have classes like ‘disabled glightbox-button-hidden’, so makes sense we can’t see them. But not seeing any settings where we can ensure those are visible to navigation between the images in a gallery. Also not seeing a caption we added to one of the images.

    – Is there compatibility issues with WordPress v7.0 with this?
    – Or does this not really work with default WordPress gallery blocks (didn’t see anything in FAQs about this)?

    THANKS!
