Default sort order on shop page?

    Just setting up my store and wondering — is there a built-in way to change the default sort order on the shop page? Like showing newest products first instead of default sorting? Couldn’t find a clear option for it.

    Great question! Yes, there’s a built-in way to do this in WooCommerce; no extra plugins needed.

    You can change the default sort order by going to Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Product Catalog and selecting your preferred option from the Default product sorting dropdown. To show newest products first, choose Sort by most recent: https://share.zight.com/v1u7JdJL.

    Once you’ve made your selection, just hit Publish to save the changes and they’ll go live on your shop page.
