• Shopify, Surecart, Fleuntcart, cehckoutwc (paid)…. all offer simple checkouts that just work well, auto address complete, simple steps, clean….

I’m just surprised WOO is still rocking the SAME OLD checkout – there hasn’t been an update to this in a long time, I also think accessibly standards on the checkout is missing.

What gives WOO? Why not create a better checkout, just add an option for the OLD users “Use Legacy Checkout”, this way we can have a choice…. you guys are starting to lose ground IMO.

With ai, better tech, era 4 builders, it’s time to step up your game. I’ve been using woo for years and love it but the checkout lately seems neglected and is a really bad experience for users.

    Any plans for the future?

    Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We certainly understand where you’re coming from, and feedback like this is valuable to the WooCommerce team.

The checkout experience is one of the most important parts of any store, and improvements around usability, accessibility, address autocomplete, and reducing friction during checkout are all areas that merchants regularly discuss. WooCommerce has been investing in the newer Checkout Block experience, which provides a foundation for ongoing enhancements, but I appreciate that it may not yet address all of the concerns you’ve raised.

While I don’t have any specific roadmap details or timelines to share regarding future checkout improvements, feedback like yours is valuable and helps inform future development decisions.

If you’d like this suggestion to be considered by our product team, I’d encourage you to submit it as a feature request here:

    https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/woocommerce/

This helps our team better understand the demand and use cases behind requested improvements.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback and for your continued support of WooCommerce over the years.
