• We don’t like when a plugin installs other plugins on our website without our consent. When a program does that it’s called a trojan horse. What’s worse is that siteground installed an AI plugin on our website, literally the least secure, highest risk and fastest growing (which also means least stable) tech that exists today. Plugins have backdoor access to our website, to our customers and everything that we sell, therefore they need to be secure, stable & reliable and ideally run from the same server as our website. The trouble with AI tech is we don’t know who all of the stakeholders are and we aren’t given sufficient reassurance of security.

    Hello,

I would like to clarify, that the AI Agent plugin was not installed by our Speed Optimizer Plugin, as it has no functionality to manage or install other plugins. Instead, it was deployed as part of the core changes introduced in the WordPress 7.0 rollout.

That being said, we respect your preference for total control over your site’s software. If you do not wish to use this feature, you can completely and safely remove it at any time by going to Plugins > Installed Plugins in your dashboard, clicking Deactivate, and then Delete.

    Best regards,

    Aleksandar Dimitrov
