    Hello,

I have an issue with the tracking URL for one of my carriers.

I currently use two carriers: Bartolini and Poste Italiane.

For Poste Italiane everything works fine, the notification email contains a “Track my order” button that takes the customer directly to their shipment page.

For Bartolini, however, the “Track my order” button links to a generic page where the customer has to insert the tracking number manually, instead of being taken directly to the tracked shipment.

I am using Advanced Shipment Tracking (AST) – free version and I cannot find a way to make the Bartolini link dynamic (i.e. with the tracking number already embedded in the URL).

Could you please advise on how to achieve this?

Thank you for your time and support.

    Best regards

    Hi @yoizen ,

We currently use the following Bartolini tracking URL:

    https://services.brt.it/it/tracking?OP=N&CD=%number%

If you have a different tracking URL that opens the tracking details directly, please send it to us.

    Hi Satish,

    Thank you for your reply.

My current Bartolini tracking link is: https://as777.brt.it/vas/sped_numspe_par.htm?lang=it This opens a generic page where the customer has to enter the tracking number manually.

I also came across this URL: https://vas.brt.it/vas/sped_det_show.hsm?chisono= but I’m not sure if it’s possible to append the tracking number dynamically at the end.

The ideal behaviour would be something similar to how Poste Italiane works in AST: https://www.poste.it/cerca/index.html#/risultati-spedizioni/%number% where %number% is automatically replaced with the order tracking number for each shipment.

Is there a Bartolini URL that supports the same dynamic behaviour?

Thank you for your time and support.

    Best regards

    EDIT

Quick update — I tested your URL by replacing %number% with a real tracking number and it works perfectly, opening the details page directly as intended.

So my question is: why is the URL in my AST settings different from the one your team uses as default?

    My URL: https://as777.brt.it/vas/sped_numspe_par.htm?lang=it
    AST default: https://services.brt.it/it/tracking?OP=N&CD=%number%

Could this be a leftover from an older version of the plugin?

    Thank you!

    Best regards

    Hi @yoizen ,

Thank you for checking and testing this.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Go to WooCommerce → Shipment Tracking → Shipping Carriers
    • Click the top-right menu (⋮)
    • Select “Sync Carriers

After syncing, the Bartolini carrier settings will be updated with the latest carrier data, including the current tracking URL that supports direct tracking links.

    Hi Satish,

    Sorry to bother you again.

I haven’t updated the tracking URL yet as I’m waiting for confirmation from the site owner. However, just in case he asks me to use a specific URL, I’d like to know:

is it possible — with the PRO version — to set a custom tracking URL and append the tracking number dynamically?

The URL in question would be: https://vas.brt.it/vas/sped_det_show.hsm?chisono=%number%

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi @yoizen ,

Yes, with AST PRO you can use a custom tracking URL and dynamically insert the tracking number using the %number% placeholder.

    For example:

    https://vas.brt.it/vas/sped_det_show.hsm?chisono=%number%"

AST will automatically replace %number% with the shipment tracking number when generating the tracking link.

If you decide to use a custom tracking URL, you can configure it in the carrier settings and AST will generate direct tracking links for your customers.

    Hi Satish,

The site owner gave me the green light, so I went ahead and tested the sync.

After syncing, I added the new Bartolini carrier (shown in green) and ran a test — the tracking URL is now working correctly as intended.

I believe the issue was that a previous developer had added a custom Bartolini carrier (set as “Global”), while over time the plugin updated its default carrier settings. Since I can’t modify that custom carrier without the PRO version, I was stuck with the old broken URL.

    Two quick questions:

    1. Could the fact that the new carrier is labeled “Italy” instead of “Global” cause any issues?
    2. Is it safe to leave the old custom “Global” entry there, or should it be removed?

Sorry for bothering you again, and thank you for your patience.

    Best regards

    Hi @yoizen ,

The “Italy” label will not cause any issues. If you’re no longer using the old custom “Global” Bartolini carrier, you can safely remove it.

    Best regards,
    Satish
