• Hello,

    • WordPress 7.0
    • Theme: Neve Free v4.2.4
    • Forminator v1.53.1
    • Plugin Maker v1.22.0

Recently, a series of blue boxes with a white x inside started appearing below the footer on each page of my site. We’ve managed to remedy those with the use of some CSS.

However, the popups on the site occur at step 4 within a Forminator form. The popups will open correctly, but when the user clicks on the NEXT arrow, the popup closes and the page refreshes to the beginning of the form. See here: https://www.wineworkimages.com/order-now/

I suspect that this is something to do with JavaScript, but I’m not sure.

In staging, I have rolled back WP to version 6.9.4, Neve them to v4.2.2, Forminator to 1.53.1 and Popup Maker to 1.20.4, (I’ve gone back as far as 1.18.2) but the issue persists.

Here is a link to what Gemini suggests, but nothing has helped so far.

Please let me know if any further information is required. Any help or suggestions you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @winework

Sorry about the issues you encountered.

Could you confirm the following to isolate the issue?

    1. Do the popups work properly when added to a regular page instead of a Forminator form?
    2. Are you using a caching plugin or server-side caching like a CDN?
    3. Are you using any JavaScript optimization or minification features?
    4. Have you recently installed or updated any other plugins, themes, or your PHP version?

You can check whether one of your plugins or your theme is conflicting with Popup Maker by following this guide: https://wppopupmaker.com/docs/problem-solving/test-whether-a-plugin-or-theme-interferes-with-popup-maker/

We look forward to your reply.

    Hey @winework ,

I see what’s going on. And I think I know what you’re trying to do (which might be a little tricky).

clicks on the NEXT arrow, the popup closes and the page refreshes to the beginning of the form

That’s because those previous and next arrows are links, not “triggers” to a popup.

The closest example of what you’re trying to do (that we have documented) is creating a slideshow using popups.

    https://wppopupmaker.com/docs/apply-popup-maker/make-a-slide-show-using-back-to-back-popups/

Can you try following those instructions, but “transposing” the code for the previous/next buttons in the example to your previous/next arrows and your popup IDs?

Just a heads up. You’ve got a few things going on on that page. So you might get the previous/next popups working, but there might be more issues to work through.

Create a help ticket on our website if you need more help.

    Good luck with that!
