• After the update to WordPress 7.0, using the spacebar (to enter white spaces, of course) doesn’t work as expected. Instead of inserting white spaces it scrolls down the left column (the one from wp-admin area, with links to dashboard, posts, pages, appareance, settings….). I have noticed that this doesn’t happen if I activate the code editor. Disabling all plugins and reverting to default theme (Twenty Twenty-Five) doesn’t fix this, neither does disabling Chrome extensions. This never happened before.

  • Hello @efegea

Hope you are doing well today.

Can you confirm that you are using Gutenberg as the page builder? I tested with WordPress 7.0 Gutenberg and Classic editor, but couldn’t replicate this issue.

It might be related to custom code added by a plugin, I suggest disabling all plugins to see if it make any difference.

You may create a backup before doing that. This issue might be a conflict related to JavaScript, and your browser also could be involved, so better to test it with a different browser too.

    Best Regards
    Amin
