    Hi @michepao ,

    Thank you for your feedback!

We’re sorry to hear you had trouble with sitemaps. However, we’d like to clarify one important point: when a plugin is deactivated, WordPress completely disables it – no code runs, no redirects are created, and no sitemap is generated. So if the issue persists while Slim SEO is inactive, the root cause is elsewhere.

    A few things worth checking:

    1. Another SEO plugin (Yoast, RankMath, etc.) may be generating its own sitemap and causing a conflict.
    2. Your theme or another plugin might have sitemap or redirect logic built in.
    3. Server-level redirects (in .htaccess or Nginx config) could be responsible.

We’d love to help you get to the bottom of this. Feel free to open a support thread and we’ll investigate together.

Thanks again for giving Slim SEO a try!
