So first of all, thank you for building this plugin! I’ve been using it for awhile now and it works great for customers who have a Solana wallet.

I’ve noticed a recurring pattern with customers that try to use it but don’t have a true Solana wallet though (eg: Cake Wallet holds SOL but it doesn’t actually use the Solana blockchain, only bridges to it and therefore doesn’t work).

When these customers scan the QR code, it doesn’t give them any sort of notification that they don’t have a Solana wallet. It just displays this really long URL like the checkout is broken and they end up emailing me asking why the payment option isn’t working. I then have to explain that it only works with wallets that use the Solana blockchain, not with wallets that bridge to it.

So my feature request: instead of the QR code just failing to work, can you have a message like “no valid wallets found on your device” display so the customer understands what the issue is? I would really appreciate that!

    Hi @scandidesignco,

Thanks for your feedback and feature request. The QR code is a standard Solana Pay URL, and according to the Solana Pay spec, how it’s handled after scanning is up to the wallet app. Unfortunately, we have no way to trigger a “no valid wallet” message from our side. What we can do is add a note next to the QR code clarifying that it only works with wallets that support Solana Pay.

In addition, we’re planning to provide a generic QR code that presents a deposit wallet address in an upcoming release, which should help cover wallets like Cake Wallet that hold SOL but don’t actually support Solana Pay.

    Thanks again.
