• Hey everyone,

I’m building a corporate training setup in Tutor LMS and I’m looking for a way to break learners into separate groups based on their organization.

Has anyone set something up where:

    • learners are split into different organizations/groups
    • each group has its own manager or team lead
    • those managers can only see and track their own group’s progress (course completion, quiz results, certificates, etc.)

If you’ve done something like this in Tutor LMS, how did you approach it? Is there a recommended way to structure groups and permissions for this kind of setup, or any best practices that work well?

Also just wondering if this is even fully possible within Tutor LMS?

  • Hello @noahj ,

Currently, there is no standard built-in feature in Tutor LMS for organization-based group management with separate managers/team leads who can monitor only their own learners’ progress, quiz results, certificates, etc.

Tutor LMS mainly supports the default student/instructor/admin roles, but advanced corporate training structures like:

    • Separate organizations or departments
    • Dedicated group managers
    • Restricted reporting access per group

are not fully available out of the box at the moment.

To achieve this type of setup, it would usually require custom development which is beyond our support policy.

We are sorry for the limitation.

    Kind regards,
    Sunjida
