    Hi there!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I tried to replicate the issue on your site and could see that after selecting the booking date, it successfully redirects to the cart page. However, once clicking “Proceed to Checkout,” the checkout fields are not rendering.

To assist you further, could you please confirm whether this was working fine previously? Also, have you made any recent changes after which the issue started appearing?

Also, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

    • System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status
    • Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the System Status Report. I checked it and noticed that the theme you are currently using is overriding the WooCommerce checkout templates, which may be causing this issue.

To assist you further, could you please run a conflict test? Here is the guide to help you on how to run a conflict test: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

First, temporarily switch to a default WooCommerce-compatible theme such as Storefront and check if the issue still occurs.

If the issue persists, please keep the default theme active and deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, then test the issue again.

You can perform these tests on a staging site so your live site remains unaffected. You may use your hosting provider’s built-in staging tool if available, or a staging plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

If you still experience the same issue after the conflict test, please keep all plugins deactivated and share the staging site URL with us so we can investigate further.

I am afraid that the issue continue after the test and updates, changing the theme to twenty twenty three…

This is the status now. https://pastebin.com/cQxxHnMS

    Any clue?

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the System Status Report. I checked it, and everything appears to be fine on my end.

To assist you further, could you please create a staging site, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, activate a default theme, and then share the staging site URL with us?

You may use your hosting provider’s built-in staging tool if available, or a staging plugin such as:

    Hi @mariaguti,

Thanks for setting up the test site and your patience through all of this!

The last link you shared is a WP admin page which we don’t need. I was also unable to test the checkout page on your staging site because it required authorisation.

In the meantime, I couldn’t find any clue when I tested your live site’s checkout page, but looking at your system status, I spotted something important: your server is running PHP 7.4, which has been EOL since December 2022 and is no longer supported by WooCommerce 10.7.0. This can cause silent errors that break the checkout AJAX flow without any visible error message, which matches exactly what you’re describing.

Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to upgrade PHP to 8.1 or 8.2. This is the most likely cause of the issue and should be the first thing to try.

I can also see that your checkout page is using the block-based checkout and your booking plugin is Webba Booking Premium. One more question: on your test site, does the checkout get stuck even with Webba Booking deactivated, or only when it’s active? This will help us confirm whether the PHP version is the sole cause or whether there’s also a compatibility issue between Webba and the block checkout.

    Looking forward to your response!

Hi You are really kind to me.

What should I share with you?

Even when Webba is deactivated the result is the same. I will ask our service provider to update PHP.

    Hi @mariaguti,

That’s really helpful, thank you! Since the issue persists even with Webba Booking deactivated, this confirms that the booking plugin isn’t the cause. PHP 7.4 is almost certainly the culprit.

Once the upgrade is done, please test the checkout flow again and let us know how it goes.

Fingers crossed that’s all it takes to fix it!
