• I purchased the WooCommerce Authorize.net Gateway plugin by SkyVerge with the understanding that I could set up two “credit card” gateways, one for the USA and another for Canada, now I learn that that is not possible.

We have two Authorize.net accounts, one for USA customers, one for Canadian customers. So, we want USA and CAD purchases directed to the correct accounts.

Without customization, do you know of a simple way to achieve this? I thought there might be a plugin available for two separate gateways for USA credit card payments and CAD credit card payments.

    Your insight is appreciated.

    Hi @twogunrosie,

    Thanks for reaching out, Rosie!

You’re right that the Authorize.net Gateway doesn’t natively support running two separate account instances for different countries. That said, there are a couple of avenues worth exploring before concluding it can’t be done.

A couple of quick questions first:

    1. Is your store a single site serving both countries, or two separate sites?
    2. Do you have multi-currency enabled? Are USD and CAD both active currencies on your store? Some payment gateway configurations can behave differently per currency, which could be relevant to your setup.

Depending on your answers, Conditional Shipping and Payments may also be worth looking at. It allows restricting payment methods based on customer location, which could be part of a solution, though it would still depend on whether two separate gateway configurations can be achieved.

Since this is a premium extension, our support team will be best placed to look at your specific setup and advise on whether a workable approach exists.

I hope that helps point you in the right direction!
