• I had previously embedded this youtube video onto my webpage. Since I contracted someone to work on my website and they installed ‘Real Simple Security’, I noticed that this error has not come up. I have crossed-checked on my youtube studio and the video in question is set to enable embedding. How to fix, please?

    Thanks

    Hi @kdpro2875,

The embedded video on the attached page is playing correctly on our end, and Really Simple Security doesn’t change anything with regards to embedded YouTube video’s which should affect this behavior either; so it’s very unlikely that the plugin is causing a YouTube “error 153”.

It looks like this “error 153” is most commonly caused by browser extensions like ad-blockers, or other strict privacy/tracking prevention settings in your browser.

As the embedded video plays perfectly fine on our end, this points more to a browser/device-side issue rather than something caused by a plugin like Really Simple Security. I’d recommend opening the page in an incognito/private window (with extensions disabled), or trying a different browser/device/network altogether to confirm the cause of the issue.

    Kind regards, Jarno
