Hi, I”m currently using the free version to create a new staging site which is actively running Woo. If I upgrade to the Pro Version, can I simply ‘Push to Live’ and all the existing orders on the ‘Live’ site be pulled in to what was the ‘Staging’ site? Would there be any issues with the page/order ID’s?

    Hello @kellylouise007

I hope you are doing well today. Thanks for writing us.

If I understand you correctly, you have created a staging site and installed WooCommerce there, and you will update that as per your requirements. Now you want to push those modifications to your live site (Your live site doesn’t have WooCommerce yet)
In that case, the simple “Push Changes” will work for you (because “Push Changes” will overwrite everything on your live site with your staging site)

But if you already have WooCommerce in your live site, the above workflow will remove all the products and orders and overwrite them with your staging site. In that case, you need to follow this article to keep your live site’s product and orders.

I hope it makes sense. If anything else comes up, don’t hesitate to contact us.

No sorry, maybe I didn’t explain very well..

We have a ‘live’ site running Woo and is still currently live and taking orders.

We have used WP Staging to create a copt of the live site and made a lot of changes to the staging site. However, it that time the live site has another 60-70 orders, so we are wondering how this gets managed if we push the ‘staging’ site live, what happens to those orders? Bearing in mind, that the ‘staging’ site will probably page ID’s the same as some of the new orders on the live site.

    Does that make sense?

FYI – we’ve tried the export/import and it doesn’t work. We just end up with orders with no details within them.
