Hi @track77,
Thank you for your kind words, glad to hear the scheduled backups are working well.
To help with the issue:
- When you click “Backup now”, do you see any error or message on the screen?
- Also, could you check if any backup log is generated after clicking it?
This will help narrow down what might be going wrong.
If the above information does not help, I will request additional information later to resolve this.
Best Regards,
I think I found the reason. I blocked access to the default wp-cron, using a different file name. When I created a backup generation using the link and changed the wp-cron. php in the link to the correct name, it worked.
It would be great if you added the ability to specify the wp-cron file name, for example via define in wp-config

Hi @track77,
That’s great to hear, glad you were able to figure it out 👍
Just to understand this correctly, you’re using a server cron that triggers a custom cron file name instead of the default wp-cron.php, and updating the link accordingly made it work. If that’s right, I can share this as a feature request with our developers so they can consider adding support for this.
Also, if you’re happy with the plugin and the support, we’d really appreciate it if you could share your quick experience here:
