I’m using WPForms Lite for a basic contact form. For notification emails, is it better to send them only to the site admin, or can I safely add another team email too?

    Hi @westonasher ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Yes, you can absolutely add more email addresses for notifications, you’re not limited to only the site administrator email.

By default, the notification field uses the {admin_email} Smart Tag, which sends emails to your WordPress site’s admin email address. If you’d like notifications to go to other team members as well, you can simply add their email addresses in the same field.

Just separate each email with a comma, for example:
    admin@yourdomain.com, team@yourdomain.com

If you’d also like the person filling out the form to receive a copy, you can include their Email field Smart Tag in the same Send To Email Address field (for example {field_id="1"} depending on your form). This way, both your team and the user will receive the notification.

We have a great tutorial on that here: https://wpforms.com/docs/setup-form-notification-wpforms/. And if you’d prefer, we have a video that walks through the setup process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NhfrXasti0

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @westonasher,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
