• Hi,
I’m using TranslatePress to translate The Events Calendar plugin beside other plugins on my website. What I do is simply upload the plugins’ translation .mo files into the plugin/lang folder.

On the single event page, the event category link points to a non existing URL where the category base is translated.

For example, instead of linking to the correct category URL: /events/category/concerts/

    it links to: /events/it/categoria/concerts/

These translated URLs go to a 404 page because those routes do not exist.

But the translated language subdirectory works correctly as long as the category base is not translated, for example:

    /events/it/category/concerts/

Could you please help me with that? What should I do to avoid translating the slug parts? Is it a bug in the plugin or if there is a setting I can use to avoid translating the URL slug parts?

    Thank you for your support.

    Regards

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Since you have problems with the slug translation I assume you have the SEO Pack addon.

Sorry, but we are not allowed to speak about the paid versions here. In case you would like to have that conversation please open a support ticket using our site https://translatepress.com/support/open-ticket/

If there’s anything else, please let me know!

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @anghelemanuel99 ,

I’m not using the SEO Pack addon, it’s just the basic TranslatePress plugin without any addons.

I also tested with different languages, and the same problem occurs.

Could this be related to the .po file from The Events Calendar? In Poedit, I can see that the same words sometimes have multiple translation entries. Could the .po file have different logic for different situations?

Maybe this affects how the plugin handles the slug or taxonomy base?

Or could it be related to how The Events Calendar itself reacts to translations?

On this image https://ibb.co/0ysrDpLd , you can see that when hovering over “concert,” the category base is changed to “kategorie.”

    Regards
