• Good Morning,

I have a gallery defined that has 49 images within it. On our home page I have the gallery displaying. I see 3 rows of 10 images and one row of 4 images with the remaining 6 slots left blank. I can’t figure out where the setting would be to fill in the entire gallery space or if I’m having image issues. I’m fairly new to wordpress and the nextgen image gallery and would greatly appreciate any guidance you can give me.

    Thank you,
    Scott Vercuski

  • Did you figure this out? Curious that you say it only shows 34 images, has space for 40, but you uploaded 49?

Can you provide more details? Link to your site?

Hi, I am having a similar problem, I have uploaded 23 pictures but the gallery will only show 18. I know it’s not the pictures since I tried excluding some, and choosing others, but it only wants to load 18 max. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

    Lors,

You left off your site url. 🙂

Curious – how big are the missing images (each)? I wouldn’t upload anything larger than about 1000px on the longest side. This is often why image uploads fail. Just a thought.

oh my… i thought I put it in, here it is: clamdaddysnj.com. I moved the images in and out of the gallery to be sure it wasn’t a problem with the image itself. They all will display, just not all 23 at the same time. It is really working in every other aspect, as far as I can tell. I am stumped! thanks for taking a look.

I noticed you have a small page content area and thought that might be it, but I have one with 44 pics and NexGen creates “pages” to display them since they don’t all fit on one page.

    What version of WordPress?

I know this is a bummer, but have you tried deleting all and re-uploading all?

Perhaps a web host file size limitation? If you look at the site with your FTP program, do you see all the pictures in the file folder (or do they fail to load after 18)?

May be an issue with this particular theme?

you must be reading my mind, since i’m new at this I purposely didn’t load all my pictures, so I was thinking the same thing, if i cant figure it out, thats what I’ll try next. Where would I find that file folder using FTP? I’m not that familiar with how to do that.

I am using the latest, WordPress 3.1.2.

ok, i was able to find the pictures in the FTP program and they were all there. the only other thing I can think of is that I did load the images at separate times, I wouldn’t think that would make a difference but, you never know. I cleared the cache, reloaded some pictures, no change. Next I am going to delete the gallery and start over. I will report back when I do this. Want to thank you for taking the time out to help.

it seems to me that Scott who started this post awhile ago, had the same issue. I wonder how he was able to fix it.

Let me know if you want me to take a look under the covers and see if there is anything else to try.

Terri, I cannot believe how I missed the obvious…I never looked at the settings within the nextgen widget, that is where it was set to 18. I was looking at all the options in my smooth gallery and gallery settings and didn’t think of it. My gallery settings were set to “all pictures” so I could not figure it out. I have a lot to learn!

You were very nice to offer to help me. Thanks again.

I’m so glad you figured it out! Congrats – that’s how you learn!
