• I recently received this code when attempting to upgrade WordPress:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wp_load_image() (previously declared in /home/content/91/5885491/html/wp-includes/media.php:241) in /home/content/91/5885491/html/wp-admin/includes/image.php on line 168

I attempted to go into my FTP via godaddy and rename my plugins folder to “oldplugins” and create a new plugins folder – no go.

So now I guess I am supposed to reload my wp-admin files? I honestly have no idea how to do this. I exported my blog earlier today, but I have no idea if the two are connected. Help!

  • The error message is not about the plugins folder so that should not be an issue. Try uploading the WP 3.0.4 files manually using GoDaddy’s file manager or web FTP. First have them unzipped in a folder on your computer, then upload to the server. (That will not overwrite the file that connects WP to its database)
