Getting this error (have removed part of the path):
Apr 23 2026 12:39:09: Error occurred while checking account status. cURL error 77: error setting certificate file:/wp-includes/Requests/src/../certificates/cacert.pem

What is going on here? Do you have a fix?

PS: Adding the same key and pressing “Save the access key” seems to work. But it looks like it fails when it is doing automatic checks.

    Hello @jarledb

One of these actions might help:
    1) Check if our IPs are available from your web server: https://cleantalk.org/help/cleantalk-servers-ip-addresses#anti-spam.
    2) Check if CURL support and allow_url_fopen (in php.ini) options are available and enabled on your web server. You can ask your webmaster or hosting provider about this.
    3) WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → change the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option → Save Changes.

After each action, click “Synchronize with Cloud” in the plugin settings, wait until the rotating icon disappears and refresh the page. Is there a result?

    Did it help?
