We say our plugin is privacy-friendly, but you might be wondering exactly what that means.

Well, the most important factor is that Independent Analytics is a WordPress plugin, so it runs entirely on your site. This means that all of your data is created and stored on your server without any external communication. You are the only one with access to your data, which is better for your privacy and your visitors’ privacy.

Second, Independent Analytics does not store any personal data. The stats are fully anonymous and depersonalized, which is important for compliance with privacy laws like the GDPR.

Lastly, Independent Analytics does not use cookies.

As an added bonus to this privacy-friendly approach, it is our understanding that a consent banner is not required before tracking visitors with Independent Analytics, which allows you to get a much more accurate visitor count than Google Analytics.
