A small note about the “simple” design

Just a small note as a supplement to the README.

This plugin covers the essential subscription features using Stripe.
It is “simple” in the sense that it intentionally avoids adding complex control layers.
If you're looking for a minimal and lightweight setup, this approach should fit well.

Most plugins follow a model where the free version includes only basic features, and advanced functionality is locked behind a paid version. This plugin takes the opposite approach.
The free version includes almost all features, while the Pro version adds control and flexibility.

In other words, the free version gives you full power — but it can be a bit “wild”.
The Pro version provides tools to control that power.

For example, purchasing multiple quantities of the same subscription, combining different subscription products, or mixing subscription and regular products in one cart are often restricted in free plugins.
Here, they are fully available even in the free version.
Free trials can also be used repeatedly.

If these behaviors are not desirable, the Pro version allows you to restrict them.
On the other hand, if you're comfortable with this flexibility — or can handle small customizations yourself — you may not need the Pro version at all.

Some of you might wonder why this plugin is Stripe-only.
The reason is simple: focusing on a single gateway keeps the code significantly lighter.
That is also part of what “simple” means here.

I’ve worked with various payment gateways, but Stripe is what I personally prefer.
This plugin was built from a simple idea:
“I want a Stripe-only subscription plugin with no feature restrictions in the free version.”

For those not currently using Stripe, I don’t think this is a major barrier.
Stripe is easy to set up, from account creation to configuration, and is widely used worldwide.
Having one Stripe-focused subscription plugin like this doesn’t seem like a bad thing — especially when it’s free.

The Pro version consists of control utilities and access control features.
It can also be used as a simple membership solution.
