FB Feed not refreshing automatically

    Dear Smash Balloon Team,

    I’m reaching out regarding an issue with the Facebook Feed (Free version) on my client’s website.

    Although the feed is set to check for new posts every hour, it fails to update automatically. The only way to display new content is by manually clicking the “Clear All Caches” button in the plugin settings. Once cleared, the feed updates immediately, but then remains “frozen” again indefinitely.

    I noticed that “Asynchronous updates” are listed as a Pro feature. I’d like to clarify: should the 1-hour caching interval work in the free version, or is the Pro version required to achieve consistent hourly updates?

    Additionally, I’ve noticed that the imported content displays extra characters and irregular spacing that do not exist in the original Facebook posts.

    Could you please confirm if the only definitive fix for these issues is purchasing the Pro version?
