Finally Got My Free SSL Working (When Nothing Else Would)

Honestly, I had low expectations for what would happen. Back and forth with GoDaddy support, we tried the same things repeatedly. I had basically hit a wall. The “free” SSL that came with my hosting plan? It didn’t work, even when their own technicians couldn’t make it work. That certainly did not help build my faith in them.

Then I went on the hunt, and stumbled upon this plug-in, read the reviews, and thought, why not? I really didn’t have anything to lose by now.

And, then oddly enough, it simply worked. Within minutes.

No complex configuration, no second guessing each click, no confusing errors. Just…done. My site’s SSL was installed, my site was secure, and that little lock finally showed itself as it should have from the very beginning.

I’m still somewhat surprised at how smoothly it was after everything I’d been through before. This plug-in may save you a significant amount of time and potentially a couple of headaches if you are stuck in the same loop I was.
