• As a website owner, do i need to keep log of cookie consents that those cookie / gdpr plugins display for visitors? I mean what if someone says “hey i never consented it”, what then? or is it enough if you properly have your cookie plugin plus privacy policy ?

I would disregard anyone’s advice about GDPR or any compliance here. Including mine. 😉

Here’s why: these forums are for supporting WordPress users who have issues with the code, the UI, add-ons such as plugins and themes or just “how does THAT work??”

Compliance with tangible regulations should be something other than an opinion you read online. That said, there are add-ons here that claim to assist with that.

    Try this search.

The first two hits are from very reputable developers and I am sure the others are good too. I suggest you try some of those one at a time on a test installation.

I use Jetpack and visitors get the generic “Privacy & Cookies: This site uses cookies. By continuing to use this website, you agree to their use.” which I leave on more out of habit than anything else. I do not know how “compliant” that is for GDPR but if you have real concerns then I suggest you contact a developer away from this site.
