Server Load Spike
-
Hello,
I am experiencing a significant CPU/load spike on my WordPress site when the FS Poster plugin automatically shares a newly published post.
After investigation, I noticed the following:
- When I publish a post with FS Poster auto-share enabled, the server load spikes significantly.
- When I publish a post without FS Poster auto-share, the load remains normal.
- I already disabled “All Pages” Auto Purge in LiteSpeed Cache, but the spike still occurs.
- It seems the spike happens when FS Poster triggers its sharing process after publishing.
My suspicion is that LiteSpeed Cache optimization processes (such as CSS/JS optimization, UCSS, Critical CSS generation, or other background tasks) or purging might be triggered when the FS Poster process runs through WordPress hooks or WP-Cron.
Could you please advise:
- Whether LiteSpeed Cache runs optimization tasks when plugins like FS Poster trigger publish/update hooks.
- If there is a recommended way to exclude a specific plugin (like FS Poster) from LiteSpeed optimization or background processing.
- Whether excluding
wp-cron.phpor the plugin directory from optimization is the correct approach.
I would appreciate any recommendations to prevent these load spikes while keeping LiteSpeed Cache optimization enabled.
Thank you for your assistance.
