    Regarding the Wordfence alert:
Alert me when there’s a large increase in attacks detected on my site

Is it possible to get any further information on how this works? In other words, is it some specific percentage increase relative to some specific time period? (And what are those numbers?) Does it get reset at some point, or do ongoing alerts indicate a continuously increasing attack rate?

I apologize if this information is in the documentation somewhere. I haven’t been able to find it.

Hi @mike80222, we’re always happy to answer questions, no need to apologize!

When the option is checked, emails noting an increased attack rate are triggered by hits that break WAF rules in the “Rules” list on the All Firewall Options page as well as the global IP blocklist.

There’s a rolling 10 minute interval for detecting attacks and at least 100 blocks in that timeframe (fitting the criteria above) will trigger the alert.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
