• I’d like to thank the support team for helping out with the latest update from 10.4.3 to 10.5.2. They were immediately responsive and very helpful. I am now convinced that the generic update process of WordPress is ill suited to WoCommerce updates as the code base is very big. I hope the WC team takes a look at this issue and works with WordPress to improve the update process.

    Hi @ahawtin,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Glad we could help get your site updated from 10.4.3 to 10.5.2 smoothly.

I am now convinced that the generic update process of WordPress is ill suited to WoCommerce updates as the code base is very big. I hope the WC team takes a look at this issue and works with WordPress to improve the update process.

There was an intermittent issue affecting version 10.5.X where, on some sites, a small number of files were not fully installed during the automatic update. The standard WordPress update mechanism works correctly in most cases, but due to certain hosting environments and server configurations experienced incomplete file updates.

Because this behavior varies depending on hosting setup, configuration, and server environment, we recommend performing a manual update in affected cases. A manual update ensures that all plugin files are properly replaced and resolves the issue completely.

Thanks again for your feedback. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out. We are here to help!
