Question regarding Spam Protection / Rate Limiting per IP for subscription forms

I have a question regarding the spam protection.

I couldn’t find specific information in the documentation about how the plugin handles repeated submissions from the same source. My concern is that a spammer or bot could use the subscription form to flood the list with fake email addresses.

Could you please clarify the following:

1. Rate Limiting: Is there a built-in limit on how many submissions are allowed per IP address within a certain time frame? (e.g., only 1 subscription per IP per hour).
2. Protection Options: What are my options to prevent this kind of abuse? Does the plugin support CAPTCHA (like reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha) or Honeypot techniques natively?

I want to ensure that my list stays clean and that the form isn’t abused for spam attacks.
