Viewing Manual Content problem

    I am unable to edit some of the manually uploaded content now. It shows up without the editing \”pencil\” icon.

    In addition, the WordPress MXChat panel doesn\’t allow me to see past the 1st page of my manually uploaded content.

    Hi @johnbunyan,

    What version of MxChat are you on? Also, what database option are you using (WordPress or Pinecone) and with how many entries roughly?

    It is using the default WordPress DB. Now my entries have reached 450, but I have kept each entry to paragraphs of 100-200 words. Even in the past when there weren’t this many entries, I could not see beyond the first page when I did the search. It would show the pages of entries (1, 2,…, 10) but only the first page of results were populated

    Edit: It’s probably got about 300kb of manually uploaded text only, specially formatted in chunks for easy retrieval. And this problem only happens when I search the database. I can go through the individual files page by page (I think it is sorted by “latest upload” first) but that is not efficient.

    Hi @johnbunyan,

    Thank you for this. I have identified the bug where the edit button does not appear when there is no source URL provided in direct content submissions. I will have this fixed ASAP.

    I was also able to replicate the pagination issue after searching for content. I will have this fixed as well. I can likely have it done and released by Wednesday (maybe sooner). I will ping you here when it’s released.

    Hi @johnbunyan,

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Version 2.6.4 was just released and includes various fixes to: pagination broken after searching; not being able to edit content with no source, not being able to edit content that was less than a certain amount of characters.

    Please note, if you have 1 very large submission that is then automatically chunked (brand new feature in 2.6.3), these can still not be edited and have never been able to edit. I do not believe that is what you were talking about though because you mentioned manually submitting content and previously being able to edit.
