The new update is not working! (4.2.2)

The new plugin update caused all searches to stop working, as if no searches were found (from the simplest keywords to more complete phrases).

I had to revert to the previous version.

Please take a look at this new update.

Did this give you any errors that you could see – maybe in your site’s debug/error log?

Did just reverting to 4.2.1 start working?

And any chance you can spin it on a staging site for me to check.

Hello, there were no error messages, but any searches performed with simple keywords that I know are on my website return the message “no search results found.”

I switched back to version 4.2.1 and everything seems to be normal now.

I’m not able to replicate an issue on my sites and I haven’t yet had any reports of problems from other users.

Are you in a position to set up a staging site to test? This might need debugging with Query Monitor to see if the query is generating any errors?

Alternativey, as 4.2.1 definitely works, can you try 4.2.2 with Query Monitor to see if there are issues – in case you need a short guide – https://webberzone.com/support/knowledgebase/debugging-with-query-monitor/

Hi Ajay,

I have no idea how to explain what’s wrong with the plugin, but since I didn’t have “seamless mode” activated before updating the plugin, and it was working normally in the previous version “4.2.1”, I upgraded again and, again, it stopped working. Simply put, no searches appear, even with this new update.

But I did a test and clicked on “seamless mode” and then the searches returned.

But I liked the way it was before, because without this seamless mode all my thumbnails appeared in the searches, and with this mode now, not anymore, not even the search relevance.
