    Hello,

Since last update, I don’t receive reports anymore. When I send a test email, I have this error notification : “Your test email was sent to the requested email address. The result we received from the WordPress wp_mail() function was: False.”
And when I send a test activity report email, I have this notification :”Test email failed to send”.

I have a smtp config on my wordpress and when I test email from contact page form, it works well. The smtp settings mail adress is different of the administration website email. It worked perfectly until last update.

    Thank you for your help.

Hi @chuchuju, thanks for getting in touch.

Some SMTP plugins disable WordPress’ wp_mail() function so that would likely explain why you’re receiving false trying to run that specific test. Wordfence does use default WordPress email functions everywhere to avoid altering the way your site usually handles email.

We noticed that your site seems to have had Cloudflare enabled on 18th December, so it might be worth looking into whether that has affected or restricted normal functions, or the SMTP configuration for your site.

Let us know if you find out any more,
    Peter.

    Hello,

I don’t use any smtp plugin on my wordpress, I have smtp config in functions.php and htaccess. The email adress of this smtp config is different than the admin email adress. The wordpress admin adress is julia@v*.com and I use lesnouvelles@v*.com in my smtp settings. I always did like this for security reason and it worked until now. It still works with contact form 7 for example.
Before, I used to receive report emails with this config. It’s since last update that the report sending failed.

Concerning cloudflare, I use it for years, I just disabled it for a 2 days to temporaly use provider dns. I never had problem with it.

The problem just begun with thoose updates of wordpress and plugins.

    Hello,

I succeded to resolve the problem. The problem came from the fact that the plugin use the admin email and refuses another email.

    Thank you !
