posts with href links

    Hello,

    I just installed wordpress on one of my test PC and have some problems with posts when I try to include a href link to amazon. Once I press “Publish” it takes more than 1 minute to have the “Post saved” page displayed.
    I did the same test on the server I have by my hosting company and I have the same problem there.

    The content of my post is:
    <a href="http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=brunetonthene-21&path=ASIN/2709625792/ref=pd_sim_dp_1">Anges et démons</a>

    Does someone knows what wordpress is doing during this minute? How can this be solved?

    Go to “Options => Discussion” and deselect the option that says Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.).

    I have the same problem. It’s actually kinda strange, because if you click on the “view site” link some seconds after clicking the publish button, the thing you’ve written have been posted. In other words, wordpress isn’t doing anything?
