When I create a template using Elementor → Templates → Add New and design nested sections/columns inside it, the layout looks perfect inside the template editor.

However, when I insert the same template into any page, the design gets distorted:

    • Nested sections do not render properly
    • Spacing and alignment break
    • Background layout does not match the original template
    • The page version looks completely different from the template version

This issue appeared immediately after updating to WordPress 6.9.
When I downgraded back to WordPress 6.8, the issue disappeared and the template worked normally again.

So it seems to be a compatibility issue between Elementor and WordPress 6.9.

Having the same issue here with multiple sites… Elementor templates embedded on a page look ok on the editor, but the CSS seems to have problems loading on frontend. One trick to make it work is to configure the CSS loading as Internal Embedding in the Elementor options.

I recommend getting in touch with Elementors’s support about this via https://elementor.com/support/ if you have Elementor Pro or https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/ if you do not.

    Hi @rajubdpro

I just gave this a try in WP 6.9 with Elementor version 3.33.2 and I could not see the issue happening.

Did you try inserting the template itself directly?

Are you using Elementor Pro on your site?

If so, then please connect with us here – https://elementor.com/help/

    Hi @vipulelementor,

My site was normal in WP 6.8.3 but after updating to WP 6.9 i’m facing same issue.

    Editor: https://d.pr/i/nalGIT

    Frontend: https://d.pr/i/q4w9as

So, it’s happening when you have existing site with WP <6.9 and you updated to WP 6.9 (latest). I can consistently regenerate this issue.

It’s working fine after reset Or in a fresh instalation.

In my environment, I use Hello Elementor theme + Elementor Free & Pro

    Thanks

    Hi,

Some of my sites broke as well. That was yesterday when wp 6.9 was released. Came here to see if the new 3.33.2 fixed the issue. I know 6.9 with 3.33.1 caused problems.

    EDIT:
decided to upgrade to 3.33.2 and 6.9 but the bug (for me) still exists. Rolling back the core to 6.8.3 fixes the issue for now

Same issue, forms are the most obviously broken but I saw other minor issues on numerous sites after 6.9 upgrade — seems to mostly be padding, margins, and flexbox gap issues, but some missing backgrounds also. Rolled back 30+ sites yesterday to WP 6.83 for now and disabled auto-updates till the dust settles. I see some threads about other major plugins having issues with 6.9 too though.

Same issue with WP 6.9 update. all websites with Elementor Free + Elementor Pro and Elementor Free + Proelements not showing “Display Conditions” on Templates and some people also reporting about more issues as well. i tried to rollback Elementor versions but no luck, only WP Rollback to 6.8 is working.

I can confirm this issue has beed resolved in 3.33.3. Thanks!

    Hi there,

I’ve checked the page URL you provided and it seems that you have Elementor Pro. Since you are an Elementor Pro user, you can open a support ticket at my.elementor.com

    ref: https://elementor.com/help/how-to-submit-a-support-ticket/

I’d also suggest you check out Elementor Community Group on Facebook. We have created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge, Global Elementor Community.

WordPress.org rules state that commercial products are not supported here.

    Kind regards,

Hi managed to fix this by disabling Enable Elementor AI functionality under Users > Profile

The error still shows however the editor is now working and not prompting me to enter safe mode.
