• hi there, I’m having an issue where i’ve created a multisite, wp-config.php is configured correctly( multisite true, subdomain install true, domain current site is my main domain), I’ve also refreshed and copied the .htaccess information to the file.I’ve also created an A record and allowed 4 days for propagation, pointing the subdomain to my main domain. However when I add the new subdomain to word press, and try to access its dashboard through the newtwork admin dashboard, I get an error 404.

I do have a wildcard aswell however my hosting provider has not given it an SSL. The subdomain that I’m using has an ssl though.

First, ensure that the domains point to the correct server. The best way to check this is to ping the domains and see if the IP you get there is from the correct server.

If that is correct, check whether the domain assignment to the project directory in the server settings is correct. If necessary, contact your host’s support team. If an SSL certificate is required, clarify this with your host as well.

If this is also correct, check the network settings of your multisite to see if the domains are spelled correctly there. You can find the setting under Websites when editing them.
