Has anyone had any experience with using Blueprint (beta)?
I am in the process of completely duplicating our site using Guttenberg block and eliminating the original Elementor edits. I have finished the page rebuilds and am now in the process of setting up all necessary plugins like Woo, payment gateways, shipping apps etc.
Will Blueprint allow me to simply ‘copy’ the usernames, passwords, settings etc. to the new (currently staging) site?
Can I use it to actually copy the plugins or should I reload the plugins first and simply copy the settings?

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi @windspeed,

I understand that you are looking to duplicate your site and want to know if WooCommerce Blueprints can help copy settings and plugins to a staging site. I appreciate the work you have done so far and I am happy to help.

A Blueprint is a portable configuration file that captures your WooCommerce store setup. When creating a Blueprint you can choose which WooCommerce settings to export, including General, Products, Tax, Shipping, Payments, Accounts & Privacy, Integrations, Site Visibility and Advanced. The file also records your active plugins and theme so that, when imported into another site, it activates the same plugins and theme and applies your selected settings.

A Blueprint does not migrate user accounts or copy plugin files, so you will still need to install the same plugins and theme on the new site and any content or user data would need to be migrated separately. Once those are installed, importing your Blueprint will apply the configuration you exported. For more details please check the documentation here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-blueprints/

Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions about using Blueprints to streamline your workflow, I am here to help.
