customising sidebar for CMS

Hi – can someone help me with customising my sidebar for CMS please?

I need to DELETE all the theme (Aurelia) elements in the sidebar, such as Pages, Categories, Blogroll, Meta) and install a contact form into the sidebar on the Home page ONLY, that will:

– email me the contact details (customised fields) AND
– redirect the visitor to another page (hidden) with some info.

I have downloaded Fast Secure Contact Form plugin that does all that. However, when I pasted its code into the sidebar.php. I got an error message. I don’t know html and so was guessing where to insert it. 🙂

also, when I deleted all the other codes from sidebar.php – I also got an error message.

ON the Events page, I’d like to have in the sidebar ONLY a calendar. ON all other pages, I don’t want to have a sidebar at all – however I want to stretch the text across the width of the side window.

is it all possible?
