• Very nice templates. But here is no mechanism to import Amz products in free version. You have to enter all data, pics, buttons, links manually into a Block; just like you would have to in WooCommerce or any other ecommerce plugin. Who knows where the data is stored.

Moreover, when visiting website you have to put up with incessant popup notifications telling you who just purchased a pro version — every second all day — until you click on X. But different ones start popping up. annoying when searching docs

[Background: I’ve been using the same API plugin for a few years. I’m redesigning my site and moving from wpbakery to Gutenberg and current plugin is shortcode based. I thought this might be a good alternative. This one is still a candidate — hello Black Friday?]

  • Hi @collabora ,

We are sorry to hear your experience was disappointing. While we have not stated that Amazon integration is included in the free version, we understand the old title could suggest otherwise. To prevent confusion, we renamed the plugin to “AffiliateX – Affiliate Block Plugin.” The free version offers affiliate-ready blocks you can fill and style, while the Amazon connection is part of the premium version.

About the Amazon buttons in the editor: we added them so free users are aware a powerful feature exists and do not miss something they might value enough to upgrade. Still, we recognize they can feel intrusive and are considering reducing their visibility or adding a setting to hide them.

Regarding the website notifications: these are genuine purchase events from Freemius and can be dismissed permanently by clicking the close icon once.

As a professional plugin and team, premium sales allow us to continue development, support, and free updates. Still, we want the free version to be as useful as possible, and your feedback helps us find the right balance. If you have suggestions on what would make AffiliateX more valuable for free users, we’d be very interested in hearing them.

Thank you again for sharing your experience.
