    Hi,

I have just installed your Oxy Pros & Cons. Confirmed settings. But how to use it? Can’t add a block to post. Nothing appears at adding blocks for oxy, pros or cons. Can you help?

    Hi there!

Thanks for installing Oxyplug Pros & Cons! 👋

This plugin does not use the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg). Instead, it works via a custom meta box that appears only on WooCommerce product edit pages. Here’s how to use it:

    1. Make sure you’re editing a WooCommerce product
→ Go to Products > Add New (or edit an existing product).
    2. Look for the “Oxyplug Pros & Cons” meta box
→ It should appear in the main editor area (not in the block inserter).
    3. Fill in the required fields:
      • Title (optional)
      • Product Name (auto-filled from the product title)
      • Author Type (Person or Organization)
      • Author Name (defaults to your display name)
      • Pros and Cons (click “Add Pro” / “Add Con” to add more)
    4. Click “Save” in the meta box
→ The pros & cons will use one of the 4 built-in templates (set in Oxy Pros & Cons > Settings) and automatically appear below the product content on the frontend. Plus, the plugin automatically adds structured data (Schema.org markup) for pros and cons, which enhances SEO and helps search engines better understand your product reviews.

    Hope this helps! 😊

Thank you very much for your kind respond.

Unfortunately, we don’t use WooCommerce. Only WordPress block editor. Hope to see Gutenberg version of your plugin, which seems pretty and useful.

    Sincerely.

    You’re very welcome!

Just to clarify, Google’s structured data for “pros and cons” (positiveNotes/negativeNotes) is specifically designed for Product reviews, as defined in here. This means it’s intended to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of a product, not general content, services, or blog posts.

Because of this, Oxyplug Pros & Cons is built exclusively for WooCommerce products, where each post represents a real product that can be reviewed with structured pros/cons data. The plugin automatically generates valid Schema.org markup that search engines like Google can understand, but only in the context of a product.

That said, we appreciate your kind words! If demand grows, we may explore a Gutenberg-compatible version for general use in the future.

    Thanks again for your interest!
