We use BNFW in conjunction with Directories Pro. When a directories post is approved, BNFW is supposed to kick off an email to the post author. It’s only working part of the time. Some emails go through while others do not. Testing the email works as expected. We use PostSMTP configured with PostMark to route emails. All of that is working as expected.

    Hi @jnowaskie,
    Thanks for your message.

This usually happens when thre are too many recipients of the server is under-resourced. Can you tell me how many users this notification is going to?
It may be worth reaching out to the author of Directories Pro too as they did have an add-on for BNFW at one point.

The email is kicked off when a Directories Pro listing is approved so it’s only happening one email at a time when the listings are published so doesn’t seem like a resource issue.

    Hi @jnowaskie,
So to confirm: only one email to one user is meant to be sent when a Directories Pro listing is updated and this is happening inconsistantly? Is that correct?

    Hi @voltronik,

Yes that is correct. When the listing is approved or in other words changed from draft to published.

    Thanks for clarifying @jnowaskie,

As I haven’t had any other reports of this, it could be a plugin or theme conflict. In order to rule this out, please can you make your way through this document and let me know how you get on?
