Ran into a recent problem and having a tough time figuring out the issue. I know it may not be a tablepress issue but I reached out to the dev on x anyway to see if there was any known fixes to this. It has been a while since I have updated some pics or even tested them so not sure when this began.

I add pics to the wp media and from there put them into table press images. Lightbox no longer functions on the new pics only but still works on all the old pics so something happened in the last few updates. I have no gallery page, just a media library.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

I just checked your page with the table, and from what I can see, there are many images (shown in thumbnail size) which link to themselves (in a bigger size). When clicking on them, these bigger versions of the images are then opened in the same browser tab. There are also many images that are only shown as thumbnails, which don’t have any link (to a bigger version). I’m however not seeing any images that have a lightbox effect (meaning that the image then opens in an “overlay”, on top of the page).

Can you maybe point me to an image that (for you) has such a lightbox? Or are you maybe just using “lightbox” for that effect of a clicked image opening in the same browser tab? If so, the solution to getting this effect back for other images will be to insert them from the media library and in that media library dialog selecting the full image size as a “Link Target”.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hello- I forgot that I disabled the lightbox plug in which I have now reenabled. But to be honest it may have always been the picture expansion that I thought was lightbox. That is what we need, picture expansion which none of the recent pics will do. So if I can figure out either lightbox or expansion and not staying in thumbnail size, it would good. Although lightbox would probably be more uniform and better.

    Hi,

ah, yes, now I can see the lightbox.

From what I can see, the “trigger” for it is the same as outlined above: Not all images are embedded with a link to their bigger size. So, that’s what you’ll need watch out for when inserting them.

In the table cell, you should be able to see the difference as well: For those with lightbox, the code in the cell will start with <figure or <a href=. For those without, it will just be <img src=.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
