Hello support team, I hope you are well. I plan to use the same header for the chatbot in both the desktop and mobile versions in the pop-up window, of course, like in previous versions, where mwai-header was used in both cases. In other words, I actually want to delete mwai-mobile-header. Please guide me.

    Hi @djjcnncxn09,

The mobile header was actually redesigned on purpose to offer a better experience. In previous versions, it used the same header as desktop, but that caused a lot of issues: it was clunky, hard to close, and just didn’t work well on smaller screens. So I rebuilt the mobile view to be cleaner, easier to use, and more in line with how modern mobile interfaces work.

The current mobile header is meant to be minimal, with a title and an easy-to-reach close button. It’s not just a visual change, it’s really about following best practices for mobile UI; just like how menus and features on websites adapt differently on phones. That’s why the desktop headers like the Standard or macOS ones aren’t used on mobile. They just don’t fit well in that context.

My recommendation is to keep the mobile header as it is, since it’s built to work smoothly and will continue improving based on that mobile-first logic. That said, you can still use Custom CSS to adjust it however you like 😌

So how do I change the text written in mwai-mobile-header-title?

You’ll need to set that text using the Header Subtitle option, which is under Appearance in the Chatbot Settings. But there’s a small bug: that field only shows up if the Timeless theme is selected. So if you’re using a different theme, switch to Timeless just temporarily. The Header Subtitle field will appear, you can edit the text there, then switch back to your original theme. Let me know if that works for you 😌

Yes, I also use the Timeless theme, but it is only for desktop and the AI Engine text is not changeable in mobile mode.

Sorry about that @djjcnncxn09, totally my mistake! You should actually use Popup Title (under Popup), but it doesn’t work on mobile yet; right now it always shows “AI Engine”. I’ll fix that in the next release. If you’d rather not wait, just contact me directly here) and I’ll share the updated version with you! 👍

Thanks, I’ll wait for the next update. I’m using the Timeless theme in the popup and there may be other visual issues on mobile or desktop. Please try this and fix any issues in the update. Thanks.

And it would be great if you added more features to customize the style and functionality of the plugin, such as changing the link icon, submit or delete button, etc.

    Hi @djjcnncxn09,

It’s always a balance 😌 The chatbot is built to be simple and dynamic to customize, but every new setting in the UI adds complexity very quickly, so I need to be careful. For small tweaks like icons or button styles, the best approach is usually CSSL: it’s flexible and doesn’t bloat the plugin. I might add a few extra icon options in the future, though!

Also, since version 3.0.3 the issue with the Popup Title on mobile is fixed.

    Cheers!
