Latest BOGO Update: Giveaway Products no longer show as $0 in mini cart

    Thank you for the new update!

    I tried out the updated BOGO feature and it was lovely. The only issue I noticed was Giveaway products in mini cart are now displayed the full price. In previous versions, Giveaway products were displayed as $0.

    This new update can be quite confusing for shoppers, as they might be misled to believe they are to pay for the Giveaway product, which might cause them to remove it from their cart.

    Please is there a setting to make the Giveaway product display $0 in MINI cart?

    And better still, a setting to ensure that giveaway products cannot be removed from the cart?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    In the previous version of the BOGO feature, giveaway products were displayed with a price of $0 instead of their original price. However, that approach caused some workflow issues. To address this, we introduced an updated workflow in the new version:

    • The giveaway product now shows its regular price.
    • The subtotal column for that free product reflects the discounted price.
    • The discount is also shown clearly in the summary table via the applied coupon deduction.

    It looks like the confusion arises in the mini cart, since it only shows the product price but doesn’t include a subtotal area to reflect the discount. On the cart and checkout pages, the free product will still display as expected with the correct discounted total.

    2. How the mini cart is added — is it part of your theme or via another plugin?
    3. A copy of your System Status Report (WooCommerce > Status > Get system report).
