  • well, currently none of your permalinks are changed…. I assume you don’t have them set?

When you change the permalinks, they will display as the new format, however the old format will still work…. The old format will redirect to the new location

    Still having problems.

i don’t have an .htaccess file on my server, or at least i can’t find one. I have shown all hidden files too. Anyway, i try uploading a .htaccess file and each time i rename it to show .htaccess i cannot see my website. What am I doing wrong?

are you on a linux server?

    do you have mod.rewrite enabled?

Hi, im not sure. Where do i set the mod.rewrite??

Its information you would need from your host

IIS (windows servers) do permalinks differently than linux, and don’t use .htaccess at all

mod.rewrite is a server module that allows the permalinks to function
