    Hello

If a user changes their password via the account details – edit account page then they receive an email confirming that this has happened.

However, the email has my personal email rather than the site email address and I’d like to change this.

Although there is a password reset email I can amend (I don’t), I cannot see one that goes to the customer to confirm their password has been changed.

Where can I find this? I would prefer the site email to be in it.

    thanks.

  • Hi @pendle666,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You’re right, when a user changes their password from the “Edit Account” page, WordPress sends a default notification email. This email isn’t managed by WooCommerce but comes from WordPress core itself, which is why it may show the site admin email (often your personal email) as the sender.

To change the “From” name and email address for system-generated emails like this one, you can use a plugin like:

These plugins let you set a custom “From” name and email address for all outgoing emails from your site, including password change confirmations.

Let me know if you’d like help setting one of these up!

    Hello

Thank you for your reply. Now that I know where it’s coming from, I went to the WordPress settings and changed the admin email to the one I want to use.

But thank you anyway. The Email plugin I’m using isn’t very good, so I’ll try WPMailSMTP.

    Hi @pendle666,

I’m really glad to hear you were able to identify the source of the email and update your site admin email accordingly. It’s great that you’re also planning to try WP Mail SMTP — it should give you more control over your outgoing emails.

If WooCommerce has been helpful for your site and you’ve appreciated the support you’ve received, we’d be truly grateful if you could leave us a quick 5-star review here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post

Thanks again, and feel free to reach out anytime you need help!
