Hi there!
I understand you’d like the variation name to be automatically selected in the dropdown when a user clicks on a variation image — similar to how selecting a value in the dropdown updates the image.
By default, WooCommerce only updates the variation image when a variation is selected, but not the other way around (clicking the image doesn’t update the dropdown). Achieving the behavior you’re describing would require some custom JavaScript/jQuery customization, or using a plugin that extends variation image behavior.
I can recommend WooExperts and Codeable.io as options for getting professional help. Alternatively, you can also ask your development questions in the WooCommerce Community Slack as custom code falls outside our usual scope of support.
Thanks for the reply.
can You recommend a plugin that will help me with that?
Thanks
Hi again!
Thanks for the follow-up. While there isn’t an official WooCommerce plugin that does exactly this out of the box, you might want to look into plugins like:
These plugins often enhance how variation images and selections behave, and some may support syncing the dropdown selection when an image is clicked. I’d recommend checking their features or reaching out to the plugin developers directly to confirm this specific functionality.
Let me know if you’d like help finding the plugin page or docs!
Hello Sai,
I will check these, thanks
