Webdesign breaks after deactivating plugin

    Hello,

    as soon as I deactivate autoptimize, the webdesign breaks and css files can not be loaded correctly. The browser console says: /autopimize/css/autoptimize_single_fallback.css failed to load ressource.

    When the plugin is active and I deactivate the option !Save concatenated CSS/script files as static files?” the design breaks again.

    How can this be solved? W3 Total Cache was also used, but it is deactivated now.

    I keep on seeing Autoptimize resources, even when I add a querystring that disables AO for that request (adding ?ao_noptirocket=1 to the URL disables AO entirely) or when adding a random querystring (which typically busts page caches) so something is somehow intervening here. can you ask your hosting company to flush all caches (page caches but also e.g. persistant object caches such as memcached/ redis …)?

    the hoster also cleered the caches but the problem still stays. Is there another way?

    afraid not; when AO is not active it cannot optimize. if you still see traces of AO in the pages when AO is not active, then there is a page caching problem that will need to be tackled somehow .. :-/
